Since the internal structure of the spindle of CNC engraving machine is composed of iron core and winding coil, it will generate corresponding heat when it is energized, and it will even be a little hot if the working time is relatively long. So how hot is the spindle normal, and how to reduce the heat it generates?

The temperature range of the spindle heating mainly depends on the internal insulation level of the spindle. Under normal circumstances, the internal insulation performance will be destroyed at high temperature (above 130 degrees). So as long as the interior does not exceed 130 degrees, the spindle will not be damaged, and the surface temperature will be below 90 degrees. Therefore, the surface temperature of the stepping spindle is normal at 70-80 degrees. The simple temperature measurement method is useful for a thermometer, and it can also be roughly judged: you can touch it for more than 1-2 seconds with your hands, and it does not exceed 60 degrees; you can only touch it with your hands, about 70-80 degrees; a few drops of water quickly evaporate. If it is changed, it will be more than 90 degrees. The heating of the spindle generally does not affect the life of the spindle, so there is no need to worry too much for most customers.

However, severe fever can have some bad effects. If the thermal expansion coefficient of each part inside the main shaft is different, the change of structural stress and the slight change of the internal air gap will affect the dynamic response of the main shaft, and it will be easy to lose synchronization at high speed. Therefore, the heating of the spindle should be controlled as necessary. When the temperature of the spindle is too high, you can choose to stop the machine, rest for a period of time before continuing to work, or add a radiator outside the spindle to ensure that the heat of the spindle is dissipated in time.
