The Superstar CX-1325 with Rotary (manufactured by Jinan Jinshengxing Machinery Manufacture Co., Ltd.) eliminates the need to buy a separate CNC lathe. By adding a high-precision rotary indexing head, this machine can rotate a cylindrical workpiece while the spindle moves along the X/Z axis to carve 360-degree reliefs.
Unlike basic setups, our rotary device is often side-mounted or designed to be easily removable, ensuring the full 4x8 ft table remains clear for standard cabinet nesting or sign making when the rotary is not in use.
True 4-Axis Indexing: The rotary axis is driven by a dedicated stepper/servo motor, allowing for continuous rotation or precise indexing (e.g., carving a square top on a round table leg).
Dual-Functionality: One machine handles 90% of woodworking tasks: flat cutting for cabinet boxes/doors AND 3D carving for decorative pillars/statues.
High-Torque Headstock: The rotary chuck is gear-reduced to provide high holding torque, preventing the workpiece from slipping even when carving deep reliefs in hardwoods like oak or maple.
Extended Z-Axis Clearance: The gantry height is raised (typically 300mm+) to accommodate the diameter of the rotary device and the workpiece, ensuring collision-free operation.

Adjustable Tailstock:
The rotary device includes a sliding tailstock with a live center. It rides on a precision rail, allowing you to clamp workpieces of varying lengths, from short corbels to long stair newel posts.
4-Axis DSP Controller (RichAuto A18):
We recommend the A18 DSP handle for this machine. It supports "cylinder wrapping" natively, meaning you can take a flat toolpath and "wrap" it around a cylinder without complex post-processing on a computer.
Heavy-Duty Gantry:
To support the extra height required for the rotary axis, the gantry uprights are reinforced with steel gussets, ensuring rigidity and preventing "wobble" during high-up cutting.
Furniture Legs: Carving Queen Anne legs, sofa feet, and dining table supports.
Staircases: Newel posts, balusters, and curved handrail sections.
Religious Statues: 3D carving of idols, totems, and figurines.
General Woodworking: Cutting flat cabinet parts, doors, and screens when rotary is not in use.

Flexible Design: We can customize the rotary location. Side-mounting saves table space, while table-top mounting offers more rigidity for heavy logs. Tell us your preference!
Complete Training: 4-axis machining can be intimidating. We provide video tutorials on setting the "Z-zero" on the center of the cylinder and generating wrapping toolpaths in ArtCAM/Aspire.
Spare Parts Stock: We keep rotary chucks, belts, and motors in stock for immediate shipment, minimizing downtime.
Q: What is the maximum diameter I can turn?
A: Standard is 200mm. We can customize the gantry height to allow for 300mm, 400mm, or even larger diameters upon request.
Q: Do I need special software?
A: Most standard CAM software like Vectric Aspire, ArtCAM, or Fusion 360 supports rotary machining. You just need to select the "Rotary" post-processor we provide.
Q: Can I remove the rotary device?
A: Yes. If it's a table-top unit, you can unplug the motor cable and lift it off. If it's side-mounted, it stays permanently but is out of the way of the main table.
Q: Is the rotary axis synchronized with X or Y?
A: Typically, the rotary axis replaces the Y-axis (or X-axis) electronically during operation. You flip a switch or swap a cable to toggle between "Flat Mode" and "Rotary Mode."
