This is one of the most memorable export projects our team completed this year. Our client is a mid-sized furniture manufacturer in Pakistan, specializing in cabinets and panel furniture. From the first conversation to the machine running on their production floor, the entire journey took about six weeks.
I want to document this case in full — because it covers nearly every typical challenge we encounter in edge banding machine export projects. And for any factory owner facing similar situations, I believe this story will be genuinely useful.
When the client first reached out to us, they were straightforward about three core problems:
Inconsistent edge quality: Workers were banding edges manually, resulting in uneven thickness across batches and a rising rate of customer complaints.
Production couldn't keep up with orders: Even running three shifts during peak season, they couldn't meet delivery deadlines.
Limited power supply: The factory only had single-phase 220V power, which immediately ruled out many heavy-duty machines on the market.
These three pain points are, in fact, shared by a large number of small and mid-sized furniture factories across Pakistan and Southeast Asia. From the very first call, we treated these three constraints as non-negotiable selection criteria.

At L138 × W60 × H108cm and a shipping weight of 141kg, the WF-802S fits comfortably into workshops where floor space is at a premium.
A standard machine solves 80% of the problem. The remaining 20% — the details — is often what determines whether a client is truly satisfied. Here is what we customized for this project:
① Electrical System Adaptation for Local Grid ConditionsPower supply in Pakistan can be unstable, with voltage fluctuations that could damage sensitive electronics. Before shipping, we performed a dedicated electrical calibration and added a voltage protection module to the control system, ensuring long-term stable operation under local grid conditions.
② Glue Compatibility Pre-TestingThe client sourced their EVA hot-melt glue locally. We tested the glue pot temperature parameters in advance against that glue type and included a customized temperature setting guide in the machine documentation — saving the client from hours of trial and error on day one.
③ Operator-Friendly Instruction CardKnowing that the client's machine operators had limited English proficiency, we prepared a simplified visual operation guide — English text paired with clear diagrams — designed to be laminated and posted directly on the machine. This significantly reduced training time and operator errors.
④ Reinforced Export PackagingPort handling conditions in Pakistan can be rough. We applied additional anti-vibration foam padding to critical components (trimming motors, conveyor rollers) and added moisture-proof wrapping throughout. The outer crate was clearly marked with lifting orientation and handling instructions in both English and graphic format.
For a first-time overseas buyer, the biggest concern is always: "How do I know what I'm getting?" Our answer is simple — we let the process and the paperwork speak for themselves.
Pre-shipment full-machine run test: After assembly, the machine ran continuously for a minimum of 4 hours. We recorded key performance indicators — banding speed, trimming accuracy, polishing finish — and sent the test video to the client for sign-off before packaging.
Quality inspection report: A complete report covering electrical safety checks and mechanical precision measurements was included with the shipment.
CE Certification: The WF-802S meets EU CE certification standards, giving the client a compliance foundation should they ever wish to supply furniture to European markets.
Packing list with photo verification: Every item was photographed during packing and matched against the packing list. The client received the photos before the shipment departed, so they knew exactly what was on the way.
Here is the full project timeline, as it actually happened:

Days 36–42 Machine arrived in Pakistan; remote video-guided installation and commissioning

Once the machine arrived at the factory, our engineer joined the client via WhatsApp video call and walked them through every step of the setup — air line connections, glue pot warm-up, conveyor calibration, and the first live banding test. We didn't hang up until the first panel came out clean.
