The Superstar 3050 Cast Wood & Foam Model CNC Engraving Machine is an industrial giant designed for the heavy-duty demands of the foundry and composites industries. With a massive 3000mm x 5000mm working area and an ultra-high Z-axis clearance (up to 1200mm), it effortlessly processes large-scale automotive master models, ship hull patterns, and EPS lost foam casting molds. Unlike standard routers, the 3050 features a rigid steel box-frame gantry and high-precision ball screw/rack drives to maintain accuracy over long travel distances, ensuring your large molds have the tight tolerances required for casting.

The Superstar 3050 (manufactured by Jinan Jinshengxing Machinery Manufacture Co., Ltd.) is a specialized machining center for large-volume fabrication. Standard wood routers are too small for vehicle molds or giant statues. The 3050 bridges this gap, offering a production platform capable of handling blocks of foam, wood, and resin tooling board up to 5 meters long.
It is the industry standard solution for producing "Lost Foam" patterns for engine blocks, large-scale industrial pumps, and architectural props. By milling directly from CAD data, you eliminate the inaccuracies of hand-carving and reduce pattern production time by weeks.
Massive Work Envelope: The 3m x 5m table allows for the machining of full-size car bodies or boat hulls in a single setup, eliminating the need to glue smaller sections together.
Deep Z-Axis Machining: With a standard Z-travel of 1000mm (customizable to 1200mm+), you can use extra-long tooling to reach deep into mold cavities without the gantry colliding with the workpiece.
Heavy-Duty Structure: The machine weighs over 8 tons. The bed is constructed from oversized steel I-beams and thermally stress-relieved to prevent warping, even when supporting heavy blocks of dense wood or resin.
High-Speed Finishing: Powered by Yaskawa Servo Motors and a high-performance Syntec Control System, it executes smooth 3D surfacing toolpaths at speeds up to 20m/min, minimizing sanding labor.

Dust-Proof Axis Design:
Machining EPS foam generates static-charged dust that clings to everything. Our Z-axis and guide rails are fully enclosed in accordion bellows to prevent foam particles from entering the ball screws, ensuring smooth motion and reduced maintenance.
High-Torque Spindle:
We use industrial spindles with large ceramic bearings (ISO30 or BT40 taper optional). These are designed to withstand the side-loads of using long, large-diameter foam cutting tools (e.g., 200mm long ball nose mills).
Syntec Industrial Controller:
For large mold files (often gigabytes in size), a standard DSP handle is insufficient. The Syntec system has a fast "Look-Ahead" processor that reads thousands of lines of G-code in advance, ensuring the machine doesn't stutter or slow down during complex 3D curves.
Foundry Casting: Machining "Lost Foam" (EPS) patterns and wooden patterns for sand casting metal parts (engine blocks, valves, pipes).
Automotive & Aerospace: Milling full-size clay or foam styling models and carbon fiber layup molds.
Theme Parks & Props: Carving giant statues, movie set decorations, and architectural columns from Styrofoam.
Marine: Milling plugs and molds for fiberglass boat hulls and decks.

Custom Engineering: Need a 4th axis rotary for statues? Need 2 meters of Z-travel? As a manufacturer, we build the frame to your specifications.
Tooling Support: We don't just sell the machine; we can recommend and supply the specialized extra-long foam cutting bits and tapered ball nose end mills you need.
Turnkey Installation: For machines of this size, we offer on-site installation and training services to ensure your team is producing molds from day one.
Q: Can this machine cut aluminum molds?
A: It is primarily designed for soft materials (foam, wood, resin). For aluminum molds, we recommend our heavier "Metal Mold" series which uses a cast iron bed and coolant system, though this machine can do light aluminum finishing.
Q: How do I hold down large foam blocks?
A: The table is a T-slot design. Most users use mechanical clamps or screw the foam block directly to a sacrificial wooden baseboard attached to the table.
Q: What software is compatible?
A: It works with any 3D CAM software capable of outputting G-code, such as PowerMill, Mastercam, UG/NX, or Aspire.
Q: Is the machine shipped fully assembled?
A: Due to its size (3m x 5m), the gantry is typically removed for shipping. It requires assembly on-site, which our team can guide via video or in-person service.
Don't be limited by size. Build the biggest molds and models with the Superstar 3050 Large-Format CNC.
